Happy first day of February!  Colton and I share a passion for traveling and movies.  This time of year is our favorite for film because it challenges us to watch movies we ordinarily might not have seen (and typically they end up being our favorites). I feel a little bit behind this year because we usually have watched more of the movies in the big 6 categories by this time. Currently we have seen 5/8 best pictures.  Based on what we have seen and the Golden Globes results, here are our picks for the top 6 (my picks are in pink, Colton’s are in blue).  We reserve the right to change our votes after we have seen the other movies. haha.

Are you hosting an academy award party this year or want a way to keep track for yourself?  This FREEBIE is for you!  Now, you can print out your own ballots and wow your friends.  Last year, we had these ballots at our party and gave away prizes for whoever got the most correct.  It made the award show more interesting to our friends that hadn’t seen very many of the movies and kept the competitive spirit alive.

Our prizes were:

1st Place–  $25 Fandago gift card, bottle of champagne, boxes of candy

2nd Place– Bottle of champagne, boxes of candy

3rd Place– Boxes of candy

This year, our party will be smaller and less extravagant. I am still hammering out the details but I’m thinking champagne, popcorn and desserts.

*The ballots should be printed on 8.5 x 11″ cardstock/copy paper front to back.  It will print 2 per page.

What are your picks? Leave a comment below. Also, let us know if you used the ballot! I would love to get your feedback.
