2017 Academy Awards Ballot FREEBIE + Predictions

February 10, 2017

It blows my mind that it has been a year since I posted my 2016 Academy Awards ballot.  Here we are again in 2017 with a new list of movies and nominations.  Every year Colton and I host an Academy Awards party, and this year it will be bigger than ever. So far, Colton and I have seen 7 out of the 9 nominated best pictures, but plan to see the last two (Fences and Moonlight) movies before the award show.  Here are mine and Colton’s (in blue) picks for the “top 6” from what we have seen so far.  Don’t forget to download your free 2017 Academy Awards ballot.

Best picture

La La Land- This has been my favorite movie of the year. As much as I enjoy dramas, I love feel good musical movies too.

La La Land

Best directing

LaLa Land- I still have to stick with my favorite

La La Land

Best actor

Casey Affleck- This was the most difficult category because everyone is fantastic, however Casey broke my heart.

Casey Affleck

Best actress

Emma Stone- I want her to win mostly because I want to be her.  This isn’t a fair vote, because I haven’t seen most of the movies in this category.

Emma Stone

Best supporting actor

Dev Patel- Dev was fantastic in Lion.  I am pulling for you!

Lucas Hedges

Best supporting actress

Michelle Williams- I understand Michelle wasn’t in Manchester By The Sea very long, but she is such an amazing actress that she shines in this role.  She was also heart-breaking.

Michelle Williams

Love this ballot. My family and I used to hold a yearly competition to see who would get the most correct. The losing sister had to buy the other two sisters dinner. It then became a team effort after we all got married and wanted to include our hubbys. We haven’t done it for the last 2 years but I feel like bringing it back and using this printable .

I’ve never really been into the Academy Awards, mostly because I never see any movies haha! But I love that you host Academy Award parties, and I know that ballot has GOT to be a blast to fill out with your friends!
