Some girls are perfectly content eating a salad or a bowl of soup on a date. Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately, I am not one of those girls. Don’t get me wrong, I love salad and soup, but I am also a fan of smoked meats and all-you-can-eat. When I heard Dickey’s Barbecue Pit was offering All You Can Eat Ribs for $19.99 this month, I knew it would be the perfect answer to my next date night.
About Dickey’s Barbecue Pit
Dickey’s first opened locally, as a family-run business, in 1941. Since their first restaurant in Dallas, Dickey’s has opened locations in 45 states. To this day, they are still a family run business.
It wasn’t until we were leaving and saw the plaque we realized that we were at the original location. Growing up, my family ate barbecue quite a bit, and Dickey’s was one of our favorite places because of their high-quality meats and delicious, wholesome sides.
What to drink
Dickey’s Big Yellow Cups have been around for as long as I can remember. When I was little, my brother and I begged to get sodas just to keep the cup. There are plenty of options of drinks to pair with your ribs, but we are suckers for Coca-Cola products. He likes to keep it classic with ice-cold Coca-Cola, and I love the citrus taste of Sprite. Either way, you can’t go wrong with a Big Yellow Cup and Coca-Cola products.
What to eat
The All You Can Eat Ribs special is $19.99 available all day every day, in-store, from October 1 until October 28, 2018. Be sure you call your local Dickey’s ahead of time, because it is only available at participating stores. Dickey’s slow-cook the ribs in hickory wood-burning pits, and I love that they pride themselves on using only high-quality meats.
Your $19.99 includes All You Can Eat Ribs, a buttery roll, and your choice of two sides. We each got two different sides and shared, so that we could try a variety of them. I could have ordered one of everything because it all looked so good, but I would highly recommend the Jalapeño Baked Beans for sure.
We have always argued about which one of us can eat the most, and I must say that I won that challenge this time. I was the only one of the two of us who still had room for dessert.
Check out your local Dickey’s Barbecue Pit and come hungry for their All You Can Eat Ribs.
