I cannot believe today is the first day of August.  This summer has flown by and it is almost time for this school counselor to head back to school.  Fortunately, there are some amazing food and fitness events in north Dallas to look forward to this month.

Barre Code Brawl Birthday Bash

I am so excited about this event.  Although it’s not technically in “North Dallas”, it is celebrating my favorite studio, The Barre Code’s, birthday.  Join me on Saturday August 6 at 9:00am at the W.

Women’s Self Defense Workshop

Yoga Tree is offering a free “all levels” yoga class at Haggard Park in Plano on Saturday August 6 from 9-10 am. Bring a mat and towel.

Saturday, August 6 is also IPA DA, so celebrate at TUPPS brewery in McKinney.  For $15, try 5 mini Nothing Bundt Cake bundtinis paired with 5 different TUPPS brews.  The event begins at 11:00 am and tickets are available on a first come, first serve basis.

Downtown Plano Art + Wine Walk

This month, the downtown Plano wine walk hosted by Plano Magazine falls on Thursday August 11.  I was at the May and June walks and they were a blast.  If you missed it, I wrote about the June wine walk here.  If you want to go, be sure to grab your tickets ahead of time to save $5.  You can grab your ticket here.
