Over the last 6 months, I have been using Studio Hop. Between hopping around studios in Dallas and my time with Dallas Fitness Ambassadors, I have had the luxury of trying several different places in Dallas. Since New Year’s resolution season is in full swing, and you may be looking for a studio to meet your fitness goals this year, I have compiled a list of my 9 favorite places to get my sweat on. In no particular order…
The Barre Code
My first experience with a boutique studio in Dallas was The Barre Code Plano. I love the family atmosphere, incredible support, and the workouts are challenging and effective. The studio offers cardio, strength, and restore classes, so you can meet all of your fitness needs in one place. When I moved to Dallas, I used my Studio Hop to take some of my favorite classes at The Barre Code Design District. I still feel like The Barre Code is my home away from home. Here are a few of my favorite posts about The Barre Code.
If you are looking for a unique personal training experience, most definitely check out Ninety20. I worked with Trent for a couple of months and developed a love hate relationship with the EMS machine. The EMS machine sets this workout apart by allowing all of the muscles to contract, so you only need 20 minutes.
The first class I took as a Dallas Fitness Ambassador was BEYOND500 and it kicked my butt. Since that class, they have opened a few other studios, including a BEYOND Pilates Studio off Lovers in Dallas. Beyond500 is a circuit class that helps burn 500+ calories. They have chairs, self-propelled treadmills, and weights. During the pilates class, participants get a full body workout using the reformer. Believe me, you will sweat, shake, and feel great after this class.
If you follow me on Instagram, you would see that I have been taking kickboxing classes at 9Round every day. When I first started StudioHop, this was my favorite class to go to because of it’s flexible class times, people, and it’s only 30 minutes. Unfortunately, they are no longer on StudioHop. Since Allison leaves in March, we decided to put our StudioHop on freeze so we could take boxing classes until she leaves. I absolutely love it. 9Round is a full body 30 minute workout with tons of cardio to give you the most effective workout in the shortest amount of time. Plus, I feel like a badass.
One of the most fun studios in Dallas is Jambox. They have two locations, Addison and Frisco. Their pound class is one of my favorite ways to sweat. Check out my review of their studio and all they have to offer.
Super Yoga Palace
Yoga is not my favorite workout, but I know it is vital. I always feel incredible afterwards. Of all the yoga studios I have tried, I like The Super Yoga Palace‘s intimate and beautiful studio located in White Rock. The large windows bring in a ton of natural light. They offer deep stretches, candlelit yoga, restorative yoga, and more.
If you are looking for a studio that offers a huge variety of classes and an opportunity to be involved in social events, look no further than Grit Fitness. Mix up your workouts with cardio, strength and restore classes. Your membership gets you access to all three studios across Dallas.
One of the many things I gained with my StudioHop membership is a love for Pilates classes. Specifically pilates on the reformer. When the Sessions Pilates Lakewood studio opened, I was there as often as I could be since it’s literally walking distance from my house.
Pilates Barre & Tread Barre
If you like Pilates, but want to mix up the class with more cardio, I highly recommend The Pilates Barre and Tread Barre dual membership. Use the reformer in Pilates Barre and the chairs in Tread Barre. Check out a recap of my visit here.
Exciting news!! I have been named a Dallas Fitness Ambassador for 2019, and I am so excited. Stay tuned for more fitness recaps, tips, and tricks.
