Brunch at Bellagreen

April 12, 2019

One of my favorite things about being a Dallas food blogger is Dallas Blogger Brunch. I love the community that Rhonda has built and the girls that end up making it each month. It is so fun to catch up with old friends and connect with new ones.

Last month, we enjoyed a beautiful, food-filled brunch at Bellagreen. They spoiled us with all of their amazing food, hospitality, and a taste of every dessert they offer.

About Bellagreen

Bellagreen is the sister restaurant to Original ChopShop. Y’all already know how much I love Original ChopShop, so I was ecstatic to try Bellagreen.

They do a great job of making delicious food at affordable prices, so anyone can have a high-quality meal. Bellagreen strives to reduce their ecological footprint and taking the commitment to earning three or more green stars at each location. Check out their website to see how they are achieving that.

What to drink

When it is offered, always order the mimosa carafe, especially if you have friends to share it with. Bellagreen offers a regular orange juice and seasonal version. This season is pineapple, so we mixed it up with a carafe of each.

What to eat

For the savory fan…

Since I am all about the vegetarian options lately, I loved the huevos rancheros. Always one of my go-to choices.

Bellagreen also offers several omelets to choose from. From eggs and veggies, to shrimp and avocado, there is an omelet for everyone.

Order a side of jalapeƱo bacon too. This is a few of sides of bacon on one plate, but delicious nonetheless.

For the sweets lover…

Everyone needs to try the lemon poppyseed pancakes. They are perfect for a hot summer (or spring) day, and they are gluten free.

Another great staple that kind of mixes in the sweet and savory is chicken and waffles.

If you think brunch doesn’t include dessert, you are sadly mistaken. One of the many things I walked away from Bellagreen with was the realization that they make incredible desserts.

My favorite was the high protein hemp brownie.

Another chocolate option is the domino cake, layered with milk, dark, and white chocolate.

The tres leches is everything.

They even carry a gluten free option, the carrot cake.

The current seasonal dessert is lemon poppyseed cheesecake. I could have eaten the whole thing!

Another great dessert is the house made white chocolate bread pudding. We ate it so fast I forgot to snap a photo.
