On Saturday, I had the privilege of attending Dallas Blogger Brunch at Beverley’s. It’s been a while since we had one, so I was thrilled it worked out with my schedule. I love catching up with old friends and making new ones, plus our tables always look so cute. Shout out to @wedfullyyours for the gorgeous flowers and @writethiswaycalligraphy for the fun place cards.
Beverley’s is a neighborhood bistro that opened this year off Fitzhugh, and I have been dying to try it. Not only am I so glad I finally got to, I feel like I have been missing out on something wonderful. I cannot wait to go back and try their dinner menu.
What to drink
Brunch isn’t brunch without a mimosa. If you want a brunch classic that’s still very good, order one.
Beverley’s also has a wonderful cocktail menu full of pretty drinks. Hands down, they make my new favorite gin and tonic. From now on, I will always put lavender in my drinks.
What to eat
One of the things I love about the brunch menu, is that it is filled with several “lunch” choices for the crazy people who don’t like breakfast. Yes, they do exist, and it’s a shame. However, Beverley’s has something from them too. Everything is colorful and plated beautifully.
For the savory brunch lover…
Avocado Toast may seem too simple, but it’s beautiful and filling.
One of my go-to brunch items are always Chilaquiles, and Beverley’s doesn’t disappoint. I wish I could eat this once a week.
The Grain Bowl is the perfect power breakfast. It’s served with charred broccoli and sweet potatoes.
Another savory option is the Shakshuka.
For the sweet brunch lover…
If you love sweets, you cannot go wrong with the Pancakes. They were thick, fluffy, and have the perfect amount of fruit.
However, the Challah French Toast stole the show. Order this as your brunch dessert.
