Dallas is not lacking in excellent brunch spots. I know I share some of my favorite brunches frequently, but it is my favorite meal of the day. Honestly, I assume everyone is as crazy about it as I am. Saturday, I checked out Taco Diner‘s new brunch menu with the Dallas Blogger Brunch group. Colton and I have had brunch at Taco Diner several times, but the new menu is definitely drool-worthy.
I would like to give a huge shoutout to Katie Bug Florals for the gorgeous centerpieces. They fit in well with the fiesta theme because of their fun colors. Rhonda picked up these adorable mini piñatas from Amols.com.
About Taco Diner
Taco Diner has served the Dallas/Ft. Worth area for over 20 years. Currently, they have 8 restaurants and one opening soon in Southlake. Enjoy their delicious dinner and lunch menu or try Saturday or Sunday brunch. The Preston Center and Legacy in Plano locations both have a brand new menu with a ton of variety.
What to order
Order one of their delicious mimosas for a classic brunch drink. I went the fun route with their mambo sunrise, which can be best described as a mango margarita, champagne, and sangria mix. Order it.
The new menu has everything you can imagine wanting for brunch- french toast, pancakes, eggs, bacon, omelets and more.
Choose one of the diner classics, or traditional breakfast plates. They offer a great selection of healthy dishes as well. The avocado toast looked delicious.
The classic french toast is served with powdered sugar and whipped cinnamon butter.
For a lighter meal, try the fruit parfait. Granola and fresh berries are topped with vanilla yogurt and served in a large glass.
If you prefer Mexican flair with your brunch, try one of the platos Mexicanos. This part of the menu has hues rancheros, breakfast tacos, and my favorite, chilaquiles.
The chilaquiles are served in a mini iron skillet, and it’s packed full of chicken, eggs, cheeses, and served with two sides.
You can also choose between one of two different omelets.
Where are you grabbing brunch this weekend? I suggest trying Taco Diner’s new menu.
