Despite COVID, one of the things I still love on occasion is brunch. There are so many places in DFW taking the pandemic seriously and using a variety of preventative measures to keep everyone safe. Tricky Fish at CityLine is one of them.
What to drink
Sangria is always a great choice for brunch.
If you are more of a cocktail person, then order one of the speciality drinks off of their cocktail menu. They have an entire section dedicated to mules, and you cannot go wrong with any of them. The Filthy Pineapple is delightful.
Personally, I love gin, so the Strawberry Split is a great balance of sweet and smooth.
What to eat
The balsamic glaze on the Avocado Toast is the perfect touch. If you’re looking for something savory and lighter, go for the first thing on the menu.
Another great option for the savory fan is Fried Shrimp and Oyster Grits. The Shiner BBQ sauce really sets this dish apart and the parmesan grits are perfection.
J and I are both sweet fans, so we were all about the Cheesecake Stuffed French Toast. The only regret my sweet tooth had was not ordering the monkey bread for dessert.
