Brunch at Lazy Dog

August 8, 2017

Brunch is a big deal in Dallas. Not only is it my favorite meal of the day, but many restaurants offer a special menu 2-3 days a week. Lazy Dog is one of those. They have three locations in DFW/Texas, Addison, Plano and Euless. A couple of Sundays ago, I visited Lazy Dog in Addison with a few other girls for Dallas Blogger Brunch. We ate, drank, laughed and shared, everything that brunch is all about.

Oh, and how adorable are these place cards from Love Nest Creative? Check out her Instagram for more inspiration and goodies? I’m obsessed.

About Lazy Dog

When you walk in to Lazy Dog, you are immediately transported to a ski lodge. You feel a sense of warmth, comfort, love, and excitement. That is exactly what Chris, owner of Lazy Dog was hoping. Everything is made inside their kitchen, so all of their items contain fresh ingredients from local produce and meat companies.

What to drink

Enjoy one of the $5 brunch cocktails: sangria, mimosa, peach bellini, bloody Mary, or a micheada. Lazy Dog has a variety of natural lemonades and sodas too.

I love how the mimosas are served.

What to eat

Everything on the menu looks and taste great. It’s hard to make a decision when each item sounds like perfection. They have a variety of sweet and savory, so no matter what you are craving, you will find something at Lazy Dog.

A couple of the most try sweet options are the Fresh Strawberry French Toast or the Baked Berry Pancake.

Fresh Strawberry French Toast with housemate whipped cream and strawberry compote

Baked Berry Pancake with maple bacon butter, warm maple syrup, and housemade whipped cream

The savory side of the menu has some must try dishes like The Breakfast Club, Chilaquiles, and Country Chicken + Biscuit.

The Breakfast Club: Pictured: fried egg, housemate biscuit, hash browns (not pictured) smoked bacon and fruit

Chilaquiles (or breakfast nachos)

Country Chickens+ Biscuit: housemate biscuit topped with crispy fried chicken and two eggs, cajun gravy and spiced maple syrup

Next time you are in Plano, Addison or Euless, check out Lazy Dog for brunch.
