There are so many places throughout the metroplex that have Cinco de Mayo specials, that it would be impossible for this to be an all inclusive list. Here are a few of my favorite places to celebrate Cinco de Mayo in north Dallas and the specials they have going this year. Be sure to check out my May events post for more north Dallas events this month.
The Barre Code
Take a 75 minute boot camp class at The Barre Code Plano led by the fun and spunky Gena, then celebrate with margaritas at Blue Goose. Honestly, it’s the perfect combo, because you won’t feel as guilty about the drinks. Class starts at 5:15, so sign up here before spots fill up.
One of my favorite Mexican restaurants in Plano is Mi Dia. All day on May 5 (11am-11pm), enjoy $5 Mi Dia Frozen Over and Mi Dia Rita Rocks. These aren’t your usual “house margaritas” like other restaurants serve. They are made with Sauza Blue Silver, Triple Sec, agave nectar, and the freshest lemon juice. Try out any of their other margaritas from their extensive list too!
Join Urban Rio all day on Cinco de Mayo for beer and margarita specials. From 6pm-9pm Avion Tequila will have a promotion too! If you want to join the events later, Chet Stevens will be playing live music from 9pm-12am.
Leave it to Mexican Sugar to throw an epic Cinco de Mayo block party. Drink $7 margaritas, enjoy bites from a variety of food tents, watch (or enter) the strong man piñata competition and enjoy a live band. This will be a party to remember, so head over to The Shops at Legacy between 2-10pm.
All weekend long Mexi-Go will have Cinco de Mayo specials to enjoy. On May 5th, there will be live music, prizes, Jose Cuervo tastings, shot giveaways, all day happy hour and specials. Then, the party continues on May 6th and 7th with food and drink specials all weekend. Read more about the weekend here.
Beginning Thursday May 4, downtown Carrollton will be having a party to celebrate Cinco de Mayo weekend. El Rincon will be hosting this fiesta weekend, so don’t miss out on margarita specials, tequila tastings, and family events on Saturday May 6 (face painting, balloon artist, live mariachi band). Read more about fiesta weekend here.
Looking for a fun family night to celebrate Cinco de Mayo? The Victoria Restaurant will be hosting their 2nd annual Cinco de Mayo Celebration with live music, street tacos, drink specials, face painting, bounce houses and more!
