Most people from Texas greatly appreciate tacos and tequila. Honestly, it’s two of our favorite food groups. When I was asked to attend a VIP party at Cinco Taco Bar to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, I absolutely jumped on the opportunity. Colton and I made it a double date night and invited a couple of friends to join us. Shout out to Erik and Destiny for being great friends and stuffing your faces with us.
About Cinco Taco Bar
Cinco Taco Bar has two location in Dallas, the original in Addison, and another location off Walnut Hill. The Walnut Hill location opened in March of this year in the booming area off 75. They make everything in house, including their made fresh handmade corn tortillas. One of the thing that differentiates Cinco from other taco bars are their authentic flavors. Tex Mex is good, but Cinco focuses on using authentic spices and cheeses to take their tacos to the next level.
Food + drink
We started our dinner, as any Texan should, with margaritas and chips and salsa. Both the frozen and on the rocks margaritas were fresh, hand-crafted, and delicious. This may seem silly, but I love the consistency of their chips. Be sure to load up on goodies from the salsa bar to enhance your tacos and salsa. Our group was able to try several of their many tacos and each one of us had a different favorite.
The chicken alambre is served with grilled chicken, onions, bell peppers, toasted cheese, and bacon.
Although I am usually a chicken fan, the fajita rivera was delicious. They serve it with beef, toasted cheese, poblanos, cactus leaves, onions, avocado, and pineapple.
Colton’s favorite, the shrimp alambre, has shrimp, toasted cheese, bacon, bell peppers and onions.
Destiny and I loved the pastor pork taco. Just when we thought we were at our finishing point, they brought out this delicious taco. They stuff it with pork, grilled pineapple, pickled onions, cilantro, and toasted cheese.
The rib eye taco has thin sliced rib eye, toasted cheese, guacamole, and refried beans.
If none of these sound good to you, then try one of their many other tacos. It’s safe to say this is one of my new favorite taco places in Dallas, and we will be back for more.

Thank you to Cinco Taco for having us out to the VIP party! Although our meal was taken care of, all thoughts and opinions remain my own.
