A couple of weeks ago, I shared five reasons everyone should join a fitness community. I intentionally left out Dallas Fitness Ambassadors (DFA) of my communities, because it’s a blogger/social media community. We throw regular community events, many of them free. If you are struggling to find a fitness community, DFA is a great way to find local studios and meet people who enjoy working out.

Dallas Fitness Ambassadors was created by Mai Lyn of Deep Fried Fit two years ago in order to bring together fitness and health bloggers in the DFW metroplex. As a blogger, I have been able to network and grow with other bloggers in the area. Many of them have become great friends of mine. I love community, and getting together with these fine folks.
DFA also brings awareness to new fitness studios and companies. We get to collaborate with them and share with y’all. If you are a fitness enthusiast or just someone interested in hearing more about events and opportunities, DFA gets you that information. There are a variety of ways to stay up to date on local fitness events and companies- subscribe to the newsletter and follow us on Instagram and Facebook.
Cowboys Fit is a 60,000 square foot luxury fitness studio located at The Star in Frisco. They have everything you could want from a fitness studio- 40 yard sports turf, indoor/outdoor cycling room, group fitness studio, rooftop pool, and more. Not to mention the space is gorgeous and offers views of the plaza. In addition to all of a fitness enthusiast’s dream equipment, Cowboys Fit offers several ways to recover post-workout. Enjoy a smoothie from the smoothie bar, a cryotherapy session or hydromassage. Seriously, this place has it all and for an incredibly low monthly fee.
Feel free to bring a lawn chair and watch the next Cowboys game on the turf with other Dallas fans. It’s the next best thing to being at the game.
We had a ton of people show up to our anniversary workout, so it was a blast sweating with everyone. I swear I am still sore from some of those moves. Cowboys Fit led us in a 60 minute interval training workout that incorporated cardio, strength and conditioning. Most of the workout was done all together, but at times we split in to groups to do sprints, lunges, and more across the field.
We stayed hydrated all day with Bai, since the Texas heat is brutal even in the fall.
