Did 2018 fly by for anyone else? There were many times I felt it was still and it dragged on, but overall, it went by like a flash. An old pastor once said “the days go by slowly, but the years go by quickly.” Although we are officially in 2019 now, here are my favorite things and gratitude list from December.
If you follow me on Instagram, you have seen a few of the drool-worthy photos from my lunch at The Grill on the Alley. Adam and I had crab cakes, steaks, and peppermint creme brulee. My filet mignon medallions were fantastic, but Adam’s prime Kansas city steak was phenomenal. It is the best steak I had all year. Plus, the drinks are perfection.
Favorite beauty product
I was given the entire Almay Lip Vibes collection and have been using these colors like crazy. They are vingrant, creamy, stay on well, and don’t smudge. Plus the packaging is cute and I love the names of them.
Now that the weather is getting colder, I have really enjoyed drinking warmer drinks. The gingerbread hot toddy at Rye McKinney is no exception. They were kind enough to share their recipe with me to share with you, get it here.
Favorite room addition
My poor little Frank died, so I had to replace him with something a little easier to take care of. The kind people at Redenta’s helped me find the perfect snake plant that is guaranteed easy maintenance.
Now, my planter has a new plant, and I get to enjoy nature inside my house.
Favorite little known “secret”
December led to discovery for me in a few areas. One of those is that you can buy cheap (under $20) party dresses on Amazon. I know it’s a bit of a gamble, but if you plan it out in advance, you can strike gold.
Allison and I both got our party dresses for our Christmas/New Year’s parties on Amazon this year, and we are obsessed.
1- Christmas with my family at my house. I loved watching my sweet 10 month old niece get excited over everything, eating, drinking, and just celebrating with my family.
2- Christmas lights at Enchant.
4- Dancing my butt off at various dance parties.
5- Christmas with my extended family and Adam in Branson.
