Whether you are an avid, every day runner or just once in a while for exercise, there are some running accessories that will make your run easier. Each time I go for a run, I gear up with the same 5 things. Here are the five things I take on every run, long or short.
There are an endless number of running apps. From training to mile trackers and more. Previously I shared my favorite free running apps, and I still use the same ones today. I like to track my miles, earn money for charity, and listen to music during my runs.
Speaking of music, I have new favorite headphones. These ELUX from Specter Wireless are the best wireless headphones under $100. Specter Wireless, based out of Ft. Worth, Texas, created a line of wireless headphones for active people. They fit perfectly and don’t slide when I run. I love that they are water resistant because I sweat quite a bit, and Texas weather is always so unpredictable. With the ELUX, I can control everything from the headset and don’t have to pull out my phone. I can even talk on the phone through them!
Specter carries a variety of wireless earbuds as well, but I prefer the classic look. I receive a lot of compliments on these every time I wear them. They are great for flights and relaxing on the beach too.
Something that sets the ELUX apart from other wireless headphones is the 12-hour battery life. They charge so quickly too. Seriously y’all, check out their line of headphones and gab a pair.
Since I can control everything from my headphones, I don’t have to worry about my phone, so I throw it on my arm with an armband. The screen is still a touch screen, so you don’t have to take it out of the band to use it.
Here are a few arm band picks for you.
Last year, this running belt was on my fitness lovers gift guide and my sweet brother and sister-in-law got it for my birthday. My shorts don’t have pockets, so this belt is the perfect place to keep my keys. For longer runs, it stretches to fit snacks and more. When the weather is nice, I run to the grocery store down the street, so I can store my cash and cards in my belt too.
Finding the right running shoe is important to protect your legs, feet, and knees and keep your run as comfortable as possible. Running shoes should be changed out every 300-500 miles. Currently, I am wearing out my Mizuno Wave Riders with my weekly runs.
What are your favorite running accessories?
I was given a pair of Specter Wireless headphones in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions remain my own.
