Now that we are getting closer to summer, I can’t help but start thinking about traveling and vacations. One of my favorite things Colton and I do during my time off is plan and go on a trip to celebrate our anniversary. We are fortunate enough to grow up in a time with technology to help us plan wonderful vacations. Here are my five favorite travel apps of 2018.
Of all the travel apps I use, Hopper is probably the one I use the most pre-trip. You can use Hopper to monitor and get predictions on future airfare and hotel prices. Once prices drop, you will get a notification. Any time I need to book a flight, I use Hopper to help me decide when the best time to buy it is. Download here.
This one is old news, but I still love using Air BnB to book a place to stay when we travel. With this app, you can rent rooms, whole homes, apartments, and more from every day people. We have always had great experiences with our little places and love how unique each place has been. Download here.
XE Currency is a currency app that updates in real time. If you have ever been to another country, you may have that feeling you are paying for things with Monopoly money. This app will help you figure out what the exchange rate is, so you can keep better track of finances on your trip. Download here.
You can use Google Translate to translate between 103 languages from a body of text. My favorite feature is the instant camera translation. All you have to do is hold your camera up to the text and it automatically translates it for you. There are a ton of other features too, so download it if you haven’t already. Download here.
Honest moment, I haven’t used this app yet, but as soon as I heard about it, I had to download it. With AirHelp, you can claim compensation for flight delays and cancellations. We have had our fair share of airline horror stories, and AirHelp does all the paperwork and legal action required. If you don’t get a payout, there is no charge. Download now.
