Five Moves for a Toned Booty

October 20, 2017

Who doesn’t love a good booty burn workout? Today, I am sharing five of my favorite moves to tone your booty. These can be done just about anywhere, so add them in to your daily moves.

Equipment Needed:

Mini band

Do 60 seconds of each move.  Complete the routine at least 2 times. The band moves can be done without the mini band, but the mini band adds an extra burn.

Tabletop slashes

To do this move: Start on all fours (tabletop position) with your wrists under your shoulders and knees under your hips. The band should be around your thighs. Tuck your tail and lift your right leg out to an angle as high as you can without arching your back. (This may not be very high and that is okay. Keeping your tail tucked is most important). Then bring it across your left leg down to the ground making a slash.

Repeat 60 seconds, then switch sides.

Marching bridges

To do this move: Lie on your back on the mat with knees bent and feet on the floor.  Lift your hips to the sky, pushing through your heels.  Take turns alternating between lifting your left and right legs as you lift and lower.

Continue for 60 seconds.

To do this move: Lay on your side with your knees out in front of your hips making a 90 degree angle.  Place the band high on your calves. Rest your head in your hand and put the other arm in front of you to balance.  Lift your toes to the sky and open and close your legs to make a clam shell.

Repeat 60 seconds, then switch sides.

Band leg lifts + squats

To do this move: Stand with the band around your calves, feet a little more than hip-distance apart. Squat (push your booty back and keep your knees behind your toes) and come up. Then, lift your right leg up to the side, but keep your tail tucked. Squat again, then repeat with your left leg.

Continue for 60 seconds.

Band kickbacks

To do this move: Stand with your feet a little more than hip width’s apart and the band just above your ankles. Keep your hands on your hips, tuck your tail and kick your right foot back at an angle (think of it like a clock, kick your right leg to 5:00 and your left to 7:00). Alternate between your right and left.

Continue for 60 seconds.

Repeat entire circuit 2-3 times and for an extra burn, add in these booty moves too!

I need this exact workout! Since we are getting into the colder months up here, and I’m not wearing shorts or swimsuits, I don’t tend to put much work into this area of my body. Adding this to my routine!

  • Shybiker October 20, 2017 at 9:05 am

YOU look fantastic girl! Great moves, they sure do work. My fave are the kickbacks.
I’m sad, I’m on zero lower body anything right now because I’m having hip, L1-L3 and numbing issues down my leg. Get some of that booty for me girl!!! 🙂

    Have a great weekend love.

  • Mai Lyn Ngo November 6, 2017 at 1:43 pm

That band may be small but it is mighty. So much burn from such a little thing. We need to do another partner collab soon please!!
