Every girl on the go needs to have a gym bag filled with essential items to get you through the day. I found LIFEWTR (available at 7-Eleven) is perfect for my bag. LIFEWTR is all about igniting creativity through inspiration, so I reorganized my gym bag with some creative hacks.

Here are a few of my creative gym bag essentials.

LIFEWTR

LIFEWTR is pH balanced, purified water with electrolytes for taste, so it is perfect for hydrating during and after a workout. It’s refreshing and comes in two sizes, 1 liter and 700 mL.

Not only is LIFEWTR hydrating, but each bottle is a beautiful accessory that inspires creativity. Every few months, LIFEWTR rotates out the artists and designs on their bottles. Head to 7-Eleven and pick up some of the current designs before they are rotated out. You can also visit the social hub for more inspiration.

Beauty essentials

In the mornings, I don’t have time to take showers after my gym workout, so I have to get creative. I keep deodorant, body wipes, a towel and face cleansing cloths stocked in my gym bag. If you are on the go, these beauty essentials are your best friend.

Hair ties

If you are like me, you spend a lot of time searching for hair ties. I needed a new way to keep up with them, so I decided to come up with something new. Now, I can keep all of my hair ties on a binder clip, so they are right there when I need them. Simply unhook and hook back when you need one. Now, I don’t have to waste time before work or be late for a workout because I can’t find a hair tie.

Resistance bands

Spice up your normal gym workouts by adding resistance bands. Some of my favorite workout moves are done with resistance bands. They are small and fit in any gym bag.

Snacks

Instead of grabbing a protein bar to throw in my bag, I like to make my own snack mix. Pre-make a batch with your favorite nuts and dried fruit and divide them out between several baggies. Then, you can throw a baggie in your gym bag on the way out the door.

So many hair ties! I don’t know where they all end up. Same with bobby pins.

    • Jessica May 9, 2017 at 10:00 am

      Right?! They always disappear.

  • Emily May 2, 2017 at 9:21 am

I always lose my hair ties! Making your own snack mix is such a great idea.

    • Jessica May 9, 2017 at 10:01 am

It’s so delicious too! I can put just what I want in it.

  • Beth Kondrick May 2, 2017 at 9:28 am

I love your bag, it’s cute! And yes to snacks and water! My hair is short so instead of hair ties, I use headbands. But pretty much all of this is a must!

    • Jessica May 9, 2017 at 10:02 am

Thank you! It’s really practical and fits everything. Headbands are essential too or I sweat all in my bangs. haha.

You’ve got all the good things in your bag. This post reminds me of this memory I have of my childhood. I can remember watching some aerobics video and the woman who was instructing it had a gym bag packed with those old terry cloth sweatbands and leg warmers, etc. Also, my fitness Barbie had a cute gym bag, so whenever I see a gym bag now, I associate it with those happy childhood memories. 🙂

    • Jessica May 10, 2017 at 11:21 am

Thanks girl! Haha. I love that you associate gym bags with those great childhood memories.

  • hal May 2, 2017 at 11:38 am

Nice post! My gym bag is a hot mess! Making your own gym snack bags is such a great idea – all that pre packaged stuff I buy is probably not nearly as healthy!

    • Jessica May 10, 2017 at 11:21 am

      It’s cheaper too! 🙂

  • Willow May 2, 2017 at 12:30 pm

I love resistance bands for traveling because they take up very little room. I can’t live without my snacks! I even have some in my car or purse at all times!

    • Jessica May 10, 2017 at 11:21 am

I agree! Snacks are important. The resistance bands make traveling so much nicer.

I should probably invest in a gym bag…………..
I carry so much crap into the gym and then I spend a good 5 minutes sorting things out and untangling my headphones.

A simple bag would fix so much!

    • Jessica May 10, 2017 at 11:22 am

Yes! My bag has been life changing at the gym.

  • Crystal // Dreams, etc. May 2, 2017 at 1:38 pm

Using a clip to store your hair ties is a genius idea! I need to try that. 🙂

    • Jessica May 10, 2017 at 11:22 am

      Thank you! I love it!

  • lola May 2, 2017 at 1:43 pm

      All are so important!

  • Kim May 2, 2017 at 4:22 pm

I absolutely cannot work out without a hair band…lol…I would seriously have to skip it or go buy one. I’ve bought one at the studio before.

    • Jessica May 10, 2017 at 11:23 am

      I know the feeling girl!

  • Amy Desrosiers May 2, 2017 at 5:39 pm

I like to keep an extra pair of ear buds with me. You never know when you will need another pair. #client

  • ShootingStarsMag May 2, 2017 at 5:44 pm

That’s great that the water bottle uses different designs every few months or so.

  • Emily May 2, 2017 at 9:26 pm

I usually only have one hair tie on my wrist and I hate those moments when I go to use it and it snaps. I should just put more in my bag haha!
