Our home is one of my favorite places on Earth. It is where Colton and I spend the most time together. It is where I come home from a long day at work and can relax. It is where we have family and friends over to celebrate with us. It is where one of my best friends told me she was pregnant. It is where Colton and I found restoration in our marriage. Our home is ours (technically, the bank’s but you get the idea). Although we have only lived here for almost three years, we have remodeled it to fit our style, purpose and personalities. We still have things we want to do to it, but for now… our home tour (my favorite spaces edition).
Colton is a photographer, but we do not have a ton of photos of ourselves in our house. Our entryway is a collection of album covers, eclectic posters from places we have visited (or just something that looked cool) and the largest photo of ourselves in our house. I love how this space has transformed from a boring entry way to the first thing people see when they come in.
This is the room where Colton and I spend the most time together. We watch movies, Netflix binges, cozy up by the fire, and spend time with the people we love. Colton built the shelves and we painted the paneling and remodeled the fireplace. This is my favorite room in our house.
Before we moved, Colton and I walked around West Elm and dreamed of the furniture we would fill our house with. Our dining room table is the first piece that both of us agreed on and saved our money for. As much as I enjoy cooking, I enjoy eating even more.
This bathroom was a “Tommy Bahama” dream before. It had two different palm tree wallpapers, a seashell sink, and mismatched tile. Last year, Colton and I spent weeks remodeling it on our own. Now, it is the room I am most proud of.
My office/guest bedroom
Colton and I each have an office/room to decorate like we want. Mine is pretty girly and full of photos, but I like it. It’s also Chuck and Lucy’s (our dogs) space.
When we have clients over for meetings, this is where we get to know them and the details of their wedding. It’s also doubles as a comfy, cozy reading space.
There you have it! I hope you enjoyed our home tour.
