Jasper’s Richardson

April 9, 2019

Several weeks ago, Adam and I had a delicious, romantic dinner at Jasper’s in Richardson. Yes, you read that right. You don’t have to fight Dallas traffic for a nice, beautiful meal. Head over to CityLine and check out Jasper’s. Since it was during #meatlessMarch, I had to decline all of the wonderful meat options, but there was still plenty of delicious vegetarian things to choose from.

What to drink

Jasper’s has Happy Hour every day from 4-7 if you are wanting a delicious drink. They have a large selection of beers, wine, and cocktails to choose from.

I loved the Texas Mule and the Pineapple Martini. If you like sweeter drinks, but not too sweet, go with the pineapple. When the weather starts to warm up, like it has been recently, I crave mules. Both were perfectly balanced and delicious with my food choices.

What to eat

Since I had to go the vegetarian route, we chose the Hummus to start off with. The warm pita was perfection, and we found out the hummus is a family recipe. Perfection.

I started my meal off with the Harvest Green Salad, because I am a huge fan of butternut squash. The pumpkin vinaigrette was the perfect topping on it too.

Adam chose the Wedge salad, and even though he isn’t the biggest fan of blue cheese, loved it.

The Pork Tenderloin is a crowd favorite and for good reason. It’s tender, juicy, with a hint of sweetness in the peach BBQ. The jalapeño charred corn is also incredible.

Since my silly self decided to do a meatless challenge before going to a nice grill, I was worried all I would be able to eat was pizza. Don’t get me wrong, I love pizza, but I wanted something different. Our waiter suggested I make a meal out of 3 sides, so he recommended the Mac ‘N Cheese with aged gouda and no ham, Crispy Brussels Sprouts, and Sauteed Squash and Peppers.

Lastly, we ended our meal with dessert, because that is always my favorite part. I always choose the chocolate dessert over everything else, but I asked the waiter to bring out his favorite. He chose the Brown Sugar Bundt Cake with candied pecans (and bacon on half). It was unreal! I am so glad that he made me step out of my dessert comfort zone for it. Order it.
