June is full of fun food + fitness events in North Dallas. Here are just a few I rounded up that you should definitely check out! Most of them are free and some require registration.
Celebrate SIX02 day on June 2, 6:02pm at Stonebriar mall with FREE fun event + a brawl class led by Julie from The Barre Code Plano. Be sure to sign up and reserve a spot and arrive at 6:02 pm to enjoy the braid bar and more.
Tai Chi at Watters Creek
Every Thursday from 6:30-7:30 in June, Watters Creek will feature FREE Tai Chi classes taught by Janna Whitton. Be sure to wear loose, comfortable clothing and gym shoes.
Brawl and Brews
Join The Barre Code Plano for Brawl + Brews at Nine Band Brewing Co on Saturday June 4 at 11:00am. in Allen. Price is $20 (or $15 for autopay clients) and includes full brawl class + first pint of beer. This class is a great way to kick off the GET HOT Challenge. Sign up today to reserve your spot!
CryZone Grand Opening
FREE grand opening of the new North Dallas CryoZone event on Saturday June 4 10:00 am-3:00 pm. The first 50 guests will receive a swag bag with skin care products, gift cards, and more. Snap Kitchen and Cryo cocktails will be provided. You will also have a chance to win a great door prize!
CityLine in Richardson has FREE Reef Point Yoga classes in their plaza the first Saturday of every month. This month, class will be June 4 from 9:00-10:00am. Be sure to arrive 15 minutes early to set up and sign your waiver and don’t forget to BYOM (Bring your own mat).
GET HOT Barre Code Challenge
June 6-26. A great Barre Code challenge to kick off the summer (and transition from the TIU Bikini Series) Special challenge pricing available for non members. There will be themes, prizes, and lots of motivation to complete your 18 classes in 21 days! Remember, if it was easy it wouldn’t be called a challenge…but it sure is fun!
This FREE event, hosted by the Dallas Fitness Ambassadors, is on Wednesday June 8 at 7:00 pm at the Sheraton Hotel in Downtown Dallas. V12 Yoga will lead a yoga flow high above the city in Sheraton’s beautiful ballroom. If you are one of the first 40 people to get there, you will go home with an awesome swag bag. Downtown Plano Art + Wine Walk
Thursday, June 9 5:00-9:00 pm. The last two art + wine walks have been such a huge hit! Every second Thursday through November, Historical Downtown Plano and Plano Magazine host this fun night out on the square. This month, the time has been extended an extra hour. For $10, you will be able to bring home a commemorative wine glass and enjoy sips from a variety of wines (as well as enjoy local artists and great bands). Killis Melton’s 21st Annual Ice Cream Crank Off
June 11 10:00am-2:00pm at Chestnut Square in McKinney. This is an event after my own heart…5k followed by an ice cream tasting. This event is fun for your whole family with kid’s activities, music, and a magic show. Register for the 5k here.
Free Barre Code Class
Have you been wanting to try a Barre Code class? Now is your time! The Barre Code Plano will be at Lululemon at the Shops at Legacy on Saturday, June 18 at 8:30 am. Pound Class with Jambox at Bandier Highland Park
My girl and fellow MOVEMEANT ambassador, Mai Lyn with Deep Fried Fit will be hosting a charity event you will not want to miss on Wednesday June 29th at 6:30 pm. Spots are limited and tickets are $15. All proceeds will benefit the MOVEMEANT foundation. Be sure to follow her on Instagram @deepfriedfit to be the first to know when the event sign up goes live.
City Surf Plano Grand Opening
City Surf is opening a location in Plano planned for mid- June. Although there is not an exact date for this, be sure to follow them on Instagram @citysurfplano to find out exactly when they plan to open up!
