I Love Juice Bar

February 8, 2017

As people become more health conscious, juice bars are gaining momentum.  Many people have a common misconception about juice bars.  Despite their name, I Love Juice Bar offers a variety of menu items to order including juices, smoothies, and in-house made soups and sandwiches.

About I Love Juice Bar

Juice Bar started in Nashville and has spread to include several Dallas locations.  The Allen location opened at the beginning of the year, and they have already gained a lot of fans. Last weekend, Colton and I received an invitation to check them out and hear what they are all about.

John Zuffinetti, owner of Juice Bar, is passionate about empowering people to live healthy lives and have access to great food with quality, local ingredients.  He enjoys partnering with the community and beams when he talks about the place he and his wife Brittney has built.  I love to support local businesses, so the fact they get their ingredients locally is a huge win for me.  They have created a fun culture already in just a short amount of time.

The atmosphere

I Love Juice Bar is bright- both in decor and personality.  We were greeted with smiles and welcomes when we walked in.  It was evident that in the short amount of time, there are already regulars who find this place home.  One of the things I saw that set I Love Juice Bar in Allen apart from similar places I have been in is that it is kid-friendly.  They have a little table with books and activities for children.  You and a friend can grab a board game and disconnect from your phone as well.

The food and drinks

Colton and I were able to try several popular menu items during our visit.  We started with the grand slam power shot.  This shot series includes a shot of wheatgrass, ginger, lemon and pineapple. Each shot has amazing health benefits on their own, but as a group, is full of Vitamins, digestive support, provides energy and more.

The love hornet is a monster shot with ginger, beet, lemon and jalapeño.  I liked the kick of spice the jalapeño gives this one, not to mention it is very pretty.

If you have followed me on Instagram for a while, you know that I love acai bowls.  Juice Bar’s acai bowl has a dab of almond butter on them, and now I can’t eat them any other way. They pack it with superfoods to keep you feeling full all day.  If you try anything there, get this.

When you are on the go, there are plenty of juices and smoothies to choose from.  The green smoothie contains spinach, kale, pineapple, banana, lemon, coconut milk and apple juice.  They created a perfect sweet and sour balance with this one, so even your kids will enjoy it!

My favorite smoothie is the cacacacao.  Are you surprised? The avocado gives it a smooth texture, and it contains banana and cacao for a rich flavor.  Then, they top it with cacao nibs, hemp seeds and goji berries.

Whether you are an experienced juicer or a first timer, I Love Juice Bar is a great choice for you.  They offer a variety of juices, smoothies, shots, and food.  The people are friendly, helpful and can help even the most indecisive decide on what to order.  Since the ingredients are from local sources, it’s fresh and delicious!  I Love Juice Bar is a place to grab breakfast and grab a pre-made lunch to go.

Check out their retail selection or juice cleanse options too!  I still haven’t tried a juice cleanse, but I am inspired after talking with John about it.

I love juice bars! They don’t have an awful lot of variety here though and definitely nothing as nice as the I love Juice Bar, you’re very lucky to have this place near you ^^

    • Jessica February 9, 2017 at 8:37 pm

Thanks, girl! Aren’t they great? We have so many great places by us. I don’t take it for granted. 🙂

Last week when I was sick, I practically lived in juice bars–so many amazing health benefits and I absolutely love that you get a flight of shots at this place! I used to do Wheatgrass often and never got sick–it heals!

    • Jessica February 9, 2017 at 8:38 pm

I am going to have to be better about doing the shots more often. There are too many health benefits to ignore.

  • Paola February 8, 2017 at 10:25 am

This place looks awesome! We’re trying to eat (and drink!) healthier this year so juice bars are right up in our alley. Are they a franchise? We don’t have one where we are though we have several similar stores. Hope they’re just as great!

    • Jessica February 9, 2017 at 8:52 pm

They are! Check out the site and see if there is one close to you. 🙂

  • Alexis February 8, 2017 at 2:28 pm

I so wish my small town had a juice bar or at least healthier alternatives. #smalltownprobs

    • Jessica February 9, 2017 at 8:54 pm

There are benefits to small towns, but I would miss places like this.

  • Quaintrelle Georgiana February 8, 2017 at 2:38 pm

I love juices. We have a similar company in my country and they actually learned me to drink more juices. I bought a juicer a year ago to have more fresh juice when I want to (and in the end – save some money too :D).

    • Jessica February 9, 2017 at 8:59 pm

I still haven’t bought a juicer yet, but I think it is a good investment. There are so many things you can do with that!

  • Chelsea February 8, 2017 at 4:18 pm

Okay that juice flight you had is my dream!! I’m not kidding, I wrote about juice flights recently. I’ve been obsessed with juicing for almost a year now and it literally has changed my life. For a while, I was drinking a green juice every single day. They’re the best! thank you for sharing1
