November Favorites

December 3, 2019

It’s officially December and I have decked the halls and drank my weight in hot cocoa before the 1st arrived. If it weren’t for hosting a party at my house the Sunday before Thanksgiving, I would have had my tree up. November was a great month filled with a ton of my favorite things!

Favorite brunch spot

I still can’t believe I waited as long as I did to try Beverley’s. They have pretty drinks and food that taste wonderful too. It’s the perfect spot for a girls’ brunch, date, or other social gathering. Read my recap here.

Favorite spirit

This month, I picked up two of Caledonia Spirits gins, Bar Hill and Tom Cat. Both of these make a great gift for your holiday party hosts or friends and family. The Tom Cat gin is unique because of its golden color which comes from oak barrels. They added a touch of honey to give it almost a whiskey flavor, but even better because it’s gin.

Favorite sweet treat

This last week alone, I think I gained about 10 pounds from hot chocolate. There’s something about the holiday season that makes me crave it. Plus, it was cold and rainy most of the week. My favorite addition to my hot cocoa are handmade marshmallows from Mallow Box. I shared all about them in my gift guide, but get yourself over to The Shops at Willow Bend and grab you a box (or 2, or 3).

Favorite place to get Christmas decor

This should come as no surprise to anyone who frequents Target, but I am obsessed with their holiday decor this year. My old tree wouldn’t light up, so instead of doing the sensible thing (adding a strand of lights to it), I just went out and bought a new one. It’s so beautiful! They have everything, trees, lights, ornaments, pillows, wreaths, and candles. Everyone who has come over has complimented my mantle, and almost everything on it is from Target.

Favorite tech item

I bought this smart plug for my Christmas tree, so I can keep it on a timer and control it with my phone. Honestly, I am getting real spoiled with all of these “smart” things.

  1. I found out I am getting a nephew!
  2. Seeing Andrew McMahon play the 10 year anniversary Dear Jack benefit concert. I’ve seen this man countless times and every time I leave feeling overwhelmed by his talent.
  3. Thanksgiving with my family.
  4. Another month with #beagleChuckTaylor . I know it seems silly, but he keeps growing more tumors and I know he won’t be around much longer. Each day with him is a gift.
  5. A fantastic trip to California. Stay tuned for more about it!
