This month, north Dallas has a ton of food and drink pairings, great specials, and fun runs. Whether you enjoy wine, beer, whiskey, or tequila there is a special for you this month.

Dia de los Muertos


Celebrate Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) at Mexican Sugar on Tuesday, November 1.  Enjoy tequila specials, live mariachi band, and a delicious Latin feast.  Don’t forget to grab tone of their delicious small batch cocktails and the chocolate avocado cake.  It is my favorite dessert on the planet.

I am Second run


Join KLTY on November 5, 6:30-11:30am at Oak Point Park in Plano for a 5K/10K/Fun Run.  Register here and support the works of I am Second.

Burn and Bubbles


Any class followed by bubbles has my interest! This free yoga class combines cardio, strength, and resistance bands.  Join YogaFit in Plano November 3 at 5:30 for this class.

Caddy Run


The Caddy Run at Cadillac Pizza Pub is a 5K/Fun Run benefiting CASA of Collin County on Saturday November 5.  Dress up in a Texas themed costume for a chance to win this year’s costume contest.  Find out race details and register here.

Franconia beer dinner


On Monday November 7, 6:30-9:30pm, join Urban Crust for a 5 course dinner paired with beers from Franconia Brewery.  Dinner is $44.90 per person.  Reservations are required and can be made here.

Beer, bacon, and bourbon fest


At 7:00pm on Friday, November 11, enjoy a five course meal at Julia Pearl Southern Cuisine.  Sample various beers and bourbons during dinner and bring home a complimentary swag bag.  Tickets are $50 and can be reserved here.

Plano art and wine walk


Put on your favorite college gear and head to the Plano art and wine walk for it’s final event this year.  The wine should be enough to get you excited, but the fall temperatures make it even better.  You can get more information or grab your tickets here. Read why this is event is a must!

Thanksgiving cocktail dinner


Enjoy incredible views of downtown Plano from the Rooftop Event Spot at Urban Rio on Tuesday November 15 from 6:30-8:30pm for a Thanksgiving cocktail dinner.  You can enjoy five courses paired with five cocktails to celebrate Thanksgiving.  Dinner is $39.90 and reservations need to be made by calling or emailing the Catering Coordinator, Kali, at 972-543-8911 or

Bring your boy to the barre

Watch your guy shake as you complete a fun partner workout together at The Barre Code Plano.  Food and drinks will be provided for Dillas Quesidillas post-workout.  Only $35 per couple ($25 if you are already on autopay) for workout, food, and drinks.  Save your spot here!

9Round Preston free day


November 19th (8:00am-1:00pm) is friends and family day at 9Round Preston.  You can bring a friend and enjoy 30 minute workouts.  There will also be discounted membership rates offered all day.

Athleta studio of the month


Take a free Barre Code Plano class at Athleta Frisco at 11:00am throughout the month of November.  If you attend two of the following classes, you will be entered in a drawing to win a free month of classes.

    So this post shut my blogger brain off and turned on my copywriter brain. I work for a marketing agency in San Antonio and we represent an apartment-finding company. Often I have to do research on different Texas cities and last month our focus was on Plano lol so I’m like man I needed all this last month. Okay back to blogger brain haha is it bad all this healthy stuff and the beer bourbon and bacon made me so excited lol
