November Trader Joe’s Favorites: Holidays Edition

November 16, 2018

As much as I adore dressing up for Halloween, I love the countdown to Thanksgiving and Christmas the most. I could easily share 50 things I am obsessed with this month at Trader Joe’s, but I narrowed it down to my usual 5. Here are some of my favorite things to get you through the holiday season and beyond.

Brown Sugar & Cinnamon Butter Spread

If you have ever been to Texas Roadhouse, you are very familiar with their rolls and butter. I swear it is addicting like crack, and I usually eat 8 rolls slathered in butter before taking a breath. Now, I can calm it down because Trader Joe’s now sells their own Brown Sugar & Cinnamon Butter Spread. It goes perfect on toast, rolls, and in oatmeal. If this doesn’t get you in the holiday mood, I don’t know what will.

Caramel Cinnamon Monkey Bread

What will you serve all of your guests in town that spend the night for the holidays? Caramel Cinnamon Monkey Bread is one of the many great choices. Just pop in your oven for 10 minutes and dump into a serving dish so the caramel covers the whole thing. Serve it with a side of eggs, hot chocolate, coffee, or whatever strikes your fancy.

Riced Cauliflower Stuffing

The other day I was talking to one of my students about Thanksgiving food. I remember not being super crazy about it as a kid. Back then, I was happy with just mashed potatoes and ham. Now, I love it. As much as I love turkey and ham, the sides are my favorite part. The new Riced Cauliflower Stuffing is no exception. It’s a vegan version of a classic favorite.

Turkey Cranberry Meatballs

If roasting a turkey sounds like a daunting task for you, then try something a little different. Turkey Cranberry Meatballs are the perfect creative solution. Each meatball has turkey, cranberries, bread crumbs, celery, onions and herbs. These would make the perfect appetizer for any holiday party. I like to take them to lunch and eat in a pita with the riced cauliflower stuffing.

Advent Calendar for Dogs

Of all the things I have bought at Trader Joe’s, this is arguably one of the most ridiculous ones, but it makes my heart so very happy. Since I don’t have children to do an advent calendar with, I am so excited that they make dog ones. Chuck and Lucy are going to love
