Has October flown by for everyone or just me? I swear it was just the start of summer, and now I am gearing up for the trifecta of holidays. September was a rough month for me, so October was full of late nights with friends and fun. Here are a few of my favorite things I discovered this month.
Favorite quick meal
I discovered Luvo at Kroger and Tom Thumb and have become quite a fan. Luvo creates healthy, delicious, low-sodium and sugar freezer meals with no artificial colors, flavors, or sweeteners. Unlike many healthy brands, Luvo offers a variety of meals with flavors from around the world. Not to mention, they have a great selection of vegan and vegetarian choices. The steamer meals come right out of the bag and plate beautifully. Find your nearest store that carries Luvo products, or order directly from the website and have it delivered to your door.
Colton and I love trying new places, so each month I like to feature my favorite. City Hall Bistro is my new favorite restaurant in downtown because of their delicious tapas and hand-crafted cocktails. Check out the recap and see why the food is drool-worthy.
Favorite State Fair food winner
The fried sheet cake is worth every ticket. I enjoyed a ton of the savory foods, but the sheet cake will be a new annual regular (like the Fletcher’s corn dog). Seriously, I highly recommend trying it next year.
Favorite night activity
My best friend and I found out that our favorite karaoke bar we found back in August is closing. We are heartbroken, but have spent every weekend this month there singing and dancing the night away. This has become something I truly enjoy and is exactly how I want to remember my October. I hope you find a new home, Rose. You have brightened my 2017 more than you know.
Favorite Instagram gem
Have you ever found a social media gem that makes you smile every day? This Dad Jokes account does that for me. Every time I scroll past one of these incredibly cheesy jokes, I feel instantly happier. You’re welcome.
I was featured as a woman redefining success on Ariana Travelstead‘s blog. Check out my interview here and leave some love. Also follow her for weekly motivation from amazing women that I am honored to be featured along side.
Colton and I spent several hours eating through the State Fair. This is one of my favorite traditions we have as Texans.
Despite being incredibly busy, I completed the Barre Code Back to Sweat challenge this month.
D Magazine reposted one of my photos in their “favorite Dallas food pics” post. Check it out.
This weekend we will finally have some cold weather. It puts a kink in my Halloween costume plans, but I am so excited! Bring on the fall weather, please.
