From 5:00pm-9:00pm, on the second Thursday of every month from April-November, Plano Magazine and the Historic Downtown Plano Association host an evening of fun in downtown Plano. This month, the Plano Art and Wine Walk date fell on Colton’s birthday, so a few friends and family got together to enjoy.

The details

For $10, you get a commemorative glass, 1 oz. wine samples from all of the participating stores and restaurants, music, art and fun. Even if you choose not to purchase the $10 wine glass and samples, you can enjoy what the Plano Art and Wine Walk has to offer.

This month, there were delicious appetizer samples being passed around.

Around many of downtown Plano’s turns and streets, you will see local artists doing what they do best.

We even looked around the art gallery downtown and watched live portrait painting.

June’s theme was reds, whites, and blues, so Texas Flood (a Stevie Ray Vaughn cover band) and Charley Crockett sang their blues-ey hearts out on the McCall Plaza stage.

We all took advantage of the Amazeballs cakeballs discount.

If you get 6+ stamps on your card, you can drop it in for one of the many prizes from local businesses.  I obviously didn’t have any difficulty getting my stamps.

If you’re asking yourself, is it worth the money?  The answer is most definitely YES.  All of us had a great time walking through downtown, sipping on wine, listening to music and shopping.

It is so much fun, if you like wine. It was great trying all the different kinds and talking with the store owners.

Man, I wish it was warm enough in the UK for wine walks (or at least that it didn’t rain all the time)! I might just grab myself a glass, go wander around the sights, and see if anyone wants to start a wine walking group!

    • Jessica June 19, 2016 at 9:40 am

That sounds like a plan! Haha. Silly rain ruins everything.

  • Sophia June 15, 2016 at 2:24 pm

    • Jessica June 19, 2016 at 10:03 am

I am so horrible, I didn’t even write down what they were. There was a delicious sangria mix that one of the stores did and it was fantastic.
