One of my favorite treats to eat is cookie dough. Unfortunately, raw cookie dough contains eggs, so it is not safe to eat. I make my own eggless dough at home, but there is always something…off. Then, I found out about Allison Catalani and her food truck bakery, Vegan Noms.
Allison is passionate about what she does. Her motto is “sweeten your day the healthy way.” Her smile alone could sweeten anyone’s day, but her treats are the icing on the cake, so to speak.North Dallas/Plano people, if you haven’t already, you must check her out. Allison specializes in baking vegan cupcakes, muffins, cookies, and brownies. Some of your ears may not perk up when you hear the word “vegan” but I assure you, Colton is a tough critic and he loves her stuff. I have had the opportunity to try a variety of the sweet treats she offers. My current favorites are the Oreo crumble cupcakes and chocolate chip cookie dough (with a spoon, of course).
Saturday afternoon I went to Williams & Sonoma at Park and Preston in Plano to check her out at the artisans’ market and snagged some cookie dough to nibble on while I walked around and planned out my dream kitchen. I love that Williams and Sonoma gives local vendors a chance to bring in their goodies, and I can’t wait for the next one.
