Riviera Spa Massage and Facial

love you more too north dallas blogger Riviera Spa Highland Park Best Dallas spas

I’ve partnered with Riviera Spa to bring you this post.  All opinions remain my own.

Last week, I shared with you some tips on restoration during a fitness challenge.  One of the tips is to enjoy a spa day to work out your tired muscles and relax.  I took my own advice and checked out Riviera Spa in Highland Park for a two hour spa treatment.

First impressions of Riviera Spa

Riviera Spa

Riviera Spa is located in a beautiful office park in Highland Park.

Riviera Spa

I was immediately relaxed walking into Riviera Spa. Not only was I greeted by name, but I was offered a drink of choice to help me relax.  There are a ton of products to browse while you wait too.

Riviera Spa

There is even a pretty and bright mani/pedi side of the spa, where I imagine they give you the king and queen treatment.  I can’t wait to go back and try it out.  The lockers in the restroom were large enough for my gym bag and plenty more, which is great.  I put on my robe and sandals, grabbed my champagne and headed out the door for my massage.

The relaxation room

Since I was able to get in a little early for my massage, I didn’t spend any time in the relaxation room until before my facial.  There were comfortable chairs, a Keurig with tea, and some group seating.  This would be the perfect place for a bridal party or group of frue day to relax and spend time together before getting a pamper treatment.  I made it a point to put my phone away and just sit back with my glass of champagne to relax in silence before my facial.

The massage

Riviera Spa

My massage therapist, Zheger, was sweet and informative.  Something that sets spas apart from others, for me, is when I get to choose my own lotion scent.  All of the scents sounded great, but I was in the mood for eucalyptus.

Zheger made sure to check with me on the pressure, which was perfect from the start.  At one point, she even compliment my muscle tone in my legs.  Talk about making a girl feel really good. The ambiance of the lighting, music, and scent made for a relaxing experience, despite me asking for extra firm pressure to work out my knots.

I have had many great massages in my life, but this one was one of the best. Between her strokes and the pressure, I could feel the tension and muscle fatigue being worked out of my body.

The facial

I have only had one other facial in my life, so I don’t have much to compare it to, but Riviera should pride themselves on their organic facials.  Betsy was thorough, and talked me through the whole process. She is stunning, inside and out.   Since it was a custom facial, Betsy was able to customize the treatment to my skin’s needs.  Everything smelled so wonderful, and I was so relaxed, I kept dozing off.  She even did a yam and pumpkin enzyme peel.  Afterwards, my skin looked and felt great. It was fun to see her passion for making people feel great.

One of the many things I appreciated was that Betsy didn’t try to upsell me.  She complimented my skin and told me about jojoba oil that I could get at Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s to add to my nighly cleaning routine.  Despite the wide range of amazing products they have at the spa, she wasn’t overbearing or pushy, nor did she try to convince me to buy something I didn’t need.

Riviera Spa

Overall

If you find yourself looking for relaxation, or in need of a spa day, make that day at Riviera.  They have everything to take care of you, professional staff, great-smelling products, high end treatments, ultimate relaxation, and plenty of rooms to bring your friends along with you.  I love that the relaxation room has group seating so that you can make it a girls’ day at the spa (or a guys day!).

This sounds like an awesome spa experience. I wish I lived nearby so I could check it out. I’ve had lots of massages but only found one massage therapist who could work out the knots I get from migraines. The spa is gorgeous. Definitely gives you the feel that you’ll get lots of pampering.

Thanks, Julie! It really was a great experience. I rarely have a massage therapist that I think does an incredible job, but she did.

Aaahh, this makes me want to book a spa day ASAP. I love how you mentioned that they weren’t being overbearing in terms of pushing their products on you – that really does affect the mood. And goodness, that yam and pumpkin facial peel sounds so delightful (and delicious! Haha). I really sounds like you were treated like a queen.

I have never been to a spa or had a facial professionally. (I do my own.) This sounds amazing! I really need to try one one of these days. I love how she told you about jojoba oil. I use it daily to moisturize my skin.
