Helloooooooo, September! I am keeping my fingers and toes crossed that the weather starts immediately cooling off. There are so many festivals and outdoor events this month that I cannot wait to share with you. Here are all of the north Dallas food and fitness events I cannot wait for.
Barre Basics Intro
Have you been wanting to try a barre class and learn what barre is all about? Maybe you have been doing it, but you want to really learn the basics of each move. Check out The Barre Code Plano‘s FREE intro to barre class at noon on Saturday September 1.
Free Yoga in the Park
Start your Labor Day off the healthy way with a free Yoga Tree class at Haggard Park. Monday morning, 9:30-10:30 on September 3, you and your friends can stretch it out before your holiday BBQ. Reserve your spot here.
Sommelier for a Day
Head over to Silver Fox Steakhouse in Richardson on September 5 from 5-7pm for a sommelier experience. Tickets are $25 and cover six sample wines and hand-passed hors d’oeuvres. The favored wine from the night will be featured on the October menu.
CityLine + Plano Magazine Bite Night
On September 6 from 5:00-10:00pm, walk the streets of CityLine for Bite Night with Plano Magazine. Tickets are only $32 and include at least 2 sample-size entrees and one drink from each of the participating restaurants. Pick up a ticket here.
Dallas Chocolate Festival
Although this is technically a Dallas event, and not a north Dallas event, it’s chocolate and I want to share it. Head over to the Fashion Industry Gallery on September 7 for a night of some of the best chocolatiers around. Enjoy wine and cocktails, and stop by the 60 exhibitors. I was lucky enough to check out the preview night, and you will not want to miss it (especially the chocolate fountain). Grab your ticket today.
Paddle & a Pint
Barre Code Plano’s Birthday Weekend
Celebrate The Barre Code Plano’s 3 year anniversary and being named the “Best Gym for Women in Plano” by Plano Magazine with a day of free classes on September 8. Enjoy a workout, cryo facials by Cryo1one, juice from JuiceLand, and Tacodeli.
Choose one of the following classes and sign up for FREE:
9:00 AM Total Body Conditioning with Kendall
10:00 AM Barre-dio – Brawl Mash-up with Julie
11:00 AM Barre Code with Courtney
The Plano art and wine walk is one of my favorite events north Dallas has to offer. Plano Magazine knows how to host an event. This month the walk takes place on September 13 and the theme is urban playground. Head over to downtown Plano for shop specials, art, and wine. Enter to win one of the great raffle prizes at the end of the night and enjoy live music in the Plaza. Your $12 ticket (if purchased ahead of time) gets you a commemorative wine glass, wine guide, and sips. Check-in is at 5:00pm. Grab your ticket here.
Date Night in the Park
Looking for a free date night? Discover Farmers Branch is offering a free date night for adults (children are $15 admission) on Saturday September 15. Enjoy live music and upgrade your admission to include food and drinks. Click here for more details.
Greek Food Festival of Dallas
One of my favorite festivals in Dallas is the Greek Food Festival. From September 21-23, head over to the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church and stuff your face full of your favorite Greek foods and experience the Greek culture with music, dancing, drinks and more. Check out the Facebook page for ticket prices and links.
Plano Balloon Festival
Celebrate the 39th annual Plano Balloon Festival September 21-24. Enjoy food, live entertainment, hot air balloons, rides, and much more. Day tickets are only $10, all weekend is $20, so grab yours today!
Join the half marathon, 10k, 5k, or 1k on September 22 if you want to get your workout in.
Pilates + Pints
Head over to Legacy Hall on September 23 from 10am-12pm. Ticket options and prices vary, but choose between just the pilates class (with Club Pilates), or add pints from Unlawful Assembly Brewing Company and brunch from Legacy Hall. Grab your ticket here.
Yoga in the Plaza
Beginning September 8, every Saturday at 9am, take a free yoga class with Reef Point Yoga at CityLine. Bring your own mat and enjoy the beautiful plaza for an all level yoga class. Be sure to grab a yummy bite at one of the many delicious CityLine restaurants afterwards.
