How’s that for a really long title? Dallas Fitness Ambassadors, or DFA, host a variety of community events throughout the year. Wednesday, the Dallas Fitness Ambassadors hosted a Core Power Yoga event at North Park Center. Around 50 people showed to stretch and strengthen together. Maybe I am biased since I am an ambassador, but we sure do know how to throw a party. However, the best part is that most of the events are free!
Mai Lyn (you may recognize her from our full body partner workout) created Dallas Fitness Ambassadors to bring together local fitness bloggers and influencers and create community involvement. Take a look at our Facebook Page for the latest and greatest information on events coming up.
Here are a few reasons why you shouldn’t miss the next event.
Many boutique fitness studios a home in Dallas, and we work with the best of them. If you are attending a DFA event, expect to sweat and have fun. Typically, group workouts are more motivating than trying things at home, so DFA events are the perfect opportunity to try something new with a group of people.
CorePower Yoga is no exception. They have 4 studios open in DFW. Jay and Kaitlyn led us through a strong flow that focused on our core.
My favorite part, besides shavasana, was the ab series in the middle.
Typically, I don’t “yoga” well, however CorePower mixes in a great amount of strength, balance and flexibility. I felt strong and capable during the flow, which is not usually how I feel in yoga.
It isn’t a DFA event without some munchies. Dallas is home to some of the best food in the United States, so I enjoy trying new healthy places in the area at these events.
Green House Market made pre class chocolate chia brownies and post class chia pudding for every attendee. I couldn’t get enough of their goodies!
Besides a great workout and food, the Dallas Fitness Ambassadors do a great job of bringing in in other local business to reward and pamper attendees with. Sometimes this is in the form of a great swag bag and other times post workout beauty treatments.
On Wednesday, Dry Bar set up a braid bar for after class.
Honestly, we were pampered thanks to the awesome local businesses and great DFA planners.
These events are always a guaranteed great time. Doing the same workout every day can become boring, so DFA events are a great way to spice up your fitness routine.
Shoutout to Danny Mai Photography for the gorgeous photos!
