Why You Shouldn’t Miss a Dallas Fitness Ambassador Event

How’s that for a really long title?  Dallas Fitness Ambassadors, or DFA, host a variety of community events throughout the year. Wednesday, the Dallas Fitness Ambassadors hosted a Core Power Yoga event at North Park Center.  Around 50 people showed to stretch and strengthen together.  Maybe I am biased since I am an ambassador, but we sure do know how to throw a party.  However, the best part is that most of the events are free!

About DFA

Mai Lyn (you may recognize her from our full body partner workout) created Dallas Fitness Ambassadors to bring together local fitness bloggers and influencers and create community involvement.  Take a look at our Facebook Page for the latest and greatest information on events coming up.

Here are a few reasons why you shouldn’t miss the next event.

The workout

Many boutique fitness studios a home in Dallas, and we work with the best of them.  If you are attending a DFA event, expect to sweat and have fun. Typically, group workouts are more motivating than trying things at home, so DFA events are the perfect opportunity to try something new with a group of people.

CorePower Yoga is no exception.  They have 4 studios open in DFW.  Jay and Kaitlyn led us through a strong flow that focused on our core.

My favorite part, besides shavasana, was the ab series in the middle.

Typically, I don’t “yoga” well, however CorePower mixes in a great amount of strength, balance and flexibility. I felt strong and capable during the flow, which is not usually how I feel in yoga.

The food

It isn’t a DFA event without some munchies.  Dallas is home to some of the best food in the United States, so I enjoy trying new healthy places in  the area at these events.

Green House Market made pre class chocolate chia brownies and post class chia pudding for every attendee. I couldn’t get enough of their goodies!

The Juice Bar provided juices for everyone after class as well. Sugarfina provided samples too!

The perks

Besides a great workout and food, the Dallas Fitness Ambassadors do a great job of bringing in in other local business to reward and pamper attendees with.  Sometimes this is in the form of a great swag bag and other times post workout beauty treatments.

On Wednesday, Dry Bar set up a braid bar for after class.

MiniLuxe did manicures and Makeup Forever did lip touchups.  If that wasn’t enough, Fresh gave out samples for everyone to take home too.

Honestly, we were pampered thanks to the awesome local businesses and great DFA planners.

It’s fun!

These events are always a  guaranteed great time. Doing the same workout every day can become boring, so DFA events are a great way to spice up your fitness routine.

Whether it’s a yoga class at NorthPark Center, spin class or barre class, DFA has something for everyone.  Check us out to see what’s going on next!.

Shoutout to Danny Mai Photography for the gorgeous photos!

I wish the city I lived in did these sort of events. After moving to the U.K. from the Caribbean, I miss attending the frequent outdoor wellness events. The braid bar and manicures are such a nice touch to the event.

I bet! I am sure you had them all of the time. Yes, they do a good job of pampering us.

Oh my goodness, how fun! Now they get to make you a Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader, right? Right!

You had me at free events 🙂 I did something similar in Central Park a long time ago and it was one of my favorite yoga classes ever… What a beautiful event and so cool that samples, hair care, and manis are included!!

    Thanks for sharing 🙂

    • Reply Jessica March 27, 2017 at 5:15 pm

Right? We have some that cost, but the free ones are so fun for sure. 🙂 I bet the Central Park yoga was beautiful!

This was such a fun event! I agree that Corepower did a fantastic job of mixing strengthening and stretching with core work. I felt stronger and more capable than I usually do in a yoga class. Great recap!

    • Reply Jessica March 27, 2017 at 5:16 pm

Yes!! That is exactly how I felt too. Thank you so much.

Me too! Such great group of people.

  • Reply Kimberly March 21, 2017 at 6:30 am

I think that I would be more apt to do something like this that was outdoors than do something indoors. Something about the fresh air and scenery and a bigger group of friends just appeals to me more! And this looks more entertaining than like work 🙂
This looks fun. I don’t think we have anything like it in our area!

    • Reply Jessica March 27, 2017 at 5:19 pm

Yes! It does make it more beautiful and fun. It was a great event. Hopefully more things like this will migrate to your area.

  • Reply Melissa March 21, 2017 at 6:40 am

Okay I’ll admit: I’m not a yoga person but I would totally go to this with some friends mainly for the fun group event, and the fabulous perks! 😉 Thanks for sharing this!

    • Reply Jessica March 27, 2017 at 5:20 pm
