What to eat and drink
You may be overwhelmed your first time visiting Texas Live! because of all of the options. However, here are some of the most popular items you can try.
Guy Fieri’s Taco Joint
Guy Fieri’s Taco Joint has a variety of tacos, salsas and dips made from scratch.
The Cheeseburger Tacos are unique but so tasty. Another unique taco was the Drunken Shrimp Tacos.
Complete your meal with the Jarritos Margarita Fruit Punch.
Live! Arena is one of the main attractions at Texas Live!. You can watch the game on the 100 foot LED screen. The food is also state-of-the-art.
The Nachos portion is huge and definitely shareable between multiple people. The Cheesesteak Eggrolls are also the perfect shareable dish.
Lockhart Smokehouse is a legendary BBQ restaurant in Texas known for it’s high-quaity, delicious barbeque. Trust me when I say, order the Burnt Ends and Deviled Eggs. I am fairly certain I could eat the Deviled Eggs every day for the rest of my life and still love them.
Miller Tavern & Beer Garden
I recently became a fan of tuna poke and the Tuna Poke Nachos at Miller Tavern & Beer Garden are wonderful. Order the Thai Peanut Brussels Sprouts too, if sweet and spicy makes you as happy as it makes me.
If you are looking for a great mocktail, try the Blueberry Mint Lemonade.
Apparently, I’m coming around to whiskey, because I was a huge fan of the American Honey.
Sports & Social
Sports & Social is the perfect place to watch the game, or go upstairs and play some games of your own. Upstairs, they have games like table tennis, skeeball, air hockey, and more.
As far as food, the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich was a crowd favorite.
One unique item, full of veggies and flavor, is the Southwest Chicken Flatbread.
The Tennessee Tea is the perfect complement to either entree too.
Who knew that Troy Aikman was not only a talented quarterback, but he is great in the kitchen too. The menu at Troy’s is based on some of his personal favorites.
I highly recommend the Buffalo Cauliflower Wings and Ocho Burger. You will think you are eating real chicken wings, because these are so flavorful.
The ocho burger, named after Aikman’s jersey number, is one of the best burgers I have had in a long time. I love everything with an egg on it.
If you like margaritas, you will like the bar selection at Troy’s. The Blueberry Ginger Margarita is perfect for the sweet drink lover.
If you are looking for a reason to check out the food at Texas Live! maybe one of these events can get you out there.
