One year ago, I saw a promo for The Barre Code Plano’s opening ceremony and class. I decided to invite a friend and check it out since the studio is down the street from my house. Julie, the studio owner greeted me like I had been going to the studio for months. I remember everyone’s excitement and willingness to push themselves both physically and mentally. The Barre Code is a team. Fast forward a year later and I couldn’t be more proud of Julie and TBC Plano for everything they have accomplished this year. I was honored to be a part of attend The Barre Code Plano 1 Year Anniversary celebration.
Julie prettied up the studio with pink and black balloons, and canvases. I love the pop of color these canvases add to the studio. Not to mention, they show the Barre Code babes hard at work and completing challenges. If you have ever been to The Barre Code Plano, you know that Julie is a rockstar at making everyone feel welcome and a part of the team.
In barre code, the girls strengthen their arms, thighs, glutes, and abs. Since there were two different barre code classes, they offered two different teachers and routines. The girls tucked, raised and lowered an inch and pushed their limits.
Julie led her group in brawl, a cardio kick-boxing class. You can read this post for a more detailed description of a brawl class.
Wholesome Grub brought out juice and quinoa salad samples for participants to enjoy before or after class. My favorite vegan bakery, Vegan Noms, brought delicious cookies.
As if that wasn’t enough to enjoy, there were even girls giving post-class facials.
If you live in or around Plano, you need to check out The Barre Code (rated as best gym for women in Plano by Plano Magazine readers). You will feel like a part of a family.
Next week is a great time to check out The Barre Code Plano. Beginning Monday, you can get a three week pass for $80 and participate in the Fall Fitness Challenge (more on that later).
