The Barre Code has been in Texas for three years and I was invited to celebrate the 3 year Texas birthday with The Barre Code Design District. The WET deck at the W Dallas Victory Hotel hosted this soiree for all the barre loving babes in DFW.
The WET deck was the perfect spot for the birthday brawl bash. Strong, beautiful women lined the deck for a 50 minute sweaty brawl routine. Then, everyone changed in to their swimsuits to enjoy the pool and a margarita afterwards.
The Barre Code
There are a few Barre Codes in the Dallas area. The original Dallas location, the Design District, was the first. Highland Park and Plano opened locations afterwards. Barre Code offers a variety of class formats, so members can get their cardio, strength, and restoration all in one studio. Since there are many formats, the classes change and never get boring. For the birthday party, Design District decided to do a brawl (my favorite format) class to celebrate.
Brawl is a cardio-kickboxing class that combines cardio, strength and stretch for a complete, full-body workout. In the air-conditioned studio, I sweat like crazy, so imagine how sweaty I got 16 stories above Dallas in the August Texas heat.
Most of a brawl workout is cardio. The instructor led us in a fun and challenging choreographed routine.
In between the cardio sets, we take a strength break to focus on our upper and lower body.
At the end of the routine, we took about five minutes to stretch.
Vita Coco had a table and gave everyone free coconut oil scrub. Bandier set up a pop up shop for some tax-free fitness gear shopping.
The hotel has several fitness events throughout the year, and the wet deck is such a fun spot with a beautiful view.
