Updated Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Shake Recipe

One of the first recipes I ever shared on my blog was a chocolate smoothie recipe.  I have made versions of that smoothie all summer and finally nailed a perfect recipe.  The new version has less sugar and fewer ingredients than the first.  This chocolate peanut butter banana shake is filling enough for lunch or dinner, but it can also be shared as dessert.

Ingredients

1 serving chocolate protein powder
2 Tbl. peanut butter
1 tsp. cocoa powder
1/2 C. unsweetened almond milk
1/2 banana
Dash of cinnamon
1-2 handfuls of ice

Steps

1. Add all of the ingredients to a blender and mix.  2. Pour into cup. 3. (Optional) Add a topping: my favorite, fresh blueberries or unsweetened coconut flakes

Or make it a bowl! You can pour it into a bowl and top with 1/2 banana sliced, your favorite granola, coconut flakes, and a drizzle of honey or agave.
